MWINGI MUNICIPALITY BOARD MEMBERS VETTED.
The County Assembly’s Committee on Appointment Chaired by the Speaker of Assembly Hon. Kevin Kinengo Katisya conducted the vetting of Persons Nominated for Appointment as Mwingi Municipal Board Members. The 2-day exercise which started from Wednesday 11th October to 12th October, 2023 took place in the Assembly Chamber. The committee vetted three nominees recommended by the County Public Service Board on day one namely;
- Mr. Alex Nzioka Mwanzia
- Mr. Roland Mutua Kamotho
- Ms. Everlyne Mutheu Kitheka
On the second day of the vetting exercise the following nominees nominated by various organizations appeared before the committee;
Lydia Mwikali Kitonga – Larger Mwingi Youth Link
Eunice Mutua – Shiloh Saving and Credit Cooperative Ltd and Mwingi Clergy Self Help Group
Mbuvi Musyimi – Mwingi Hawkers Association
Dr. John Kyalo Muthuka – Kyulungwa Professional Association
The County Assembly is required to conduct an approval hearing of the nominees to ascertain their suitability for the positions proposed to make appropriate recommendations.
