ASSEMBLY SPECIAL COMMITTEE ON COVID-19 SECRETARIAT VISIT KICOTEC

The Secretariat to the Assembly Special Committee for Prevention and Management of COVID-19 has today paid a visit to KICOTEC to confirm progress of an order recently placed by the Assembly to produce over 131,000 face masks. These masks shall be distributed to the 247 villages within Kitui County by the Special Committee.

The Adhoc Committee which is chaired by Kyuso Ward Rep, Hon. Stephen Musili was formed by a motion brought before the Assembly in May 2020 and is mandated amongst other functions to coordinate with the national level and the county committees on coronavirus and also to consider funding needs and requirements on COVID-19 prevention, combat, response and management.

The entourage which included the Clerk of Assembly, Principal Procurement Officer, Ag. Principal Finance Officer and Senior Communications Officer was received by the Production Manager and the Accountant.
